About Jon!

Hi there!

My name is Jon Schumacher, and I am a theatre artist with a deep passion for creating innovative theatre that contributes to a stronger future for the art form. As a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, I have had the joy of performing professionally since age 15 across Twin Cities stages. I recently graduated from the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and am about to head to the Boston Conservatory at Berklee this fall to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre. I’m excited to be in Boston’s creative hub and to take advantage of all the opportunities the conservatory offers. 

Beyond performing, I’m interested in directing and creative leadership. At Park Square Theatre, I worked as Assistant Director on A Chorus Line and contributed across artistic and administrative departments, which deepened my passion for the business and financial side of theatre. 

Outside of theatre, you’ll usually find me exploring different corners of the city, walking, biking, or scootering around the many lakes in Minnesota, discovering new thrift stores and coffee shops, or playing the piano and guitar. 

At my core, I’m a lover of humanity, and I aim to create work that spreads love, light, and joy through authentic storytelling.
